I want summer!!

I have been looking through my pictures and found these of us boating last year on Utah Lake with my brother. JJ was driving the boat with his dad, with Uncle Jamie, and swimming with Aunt Annie. I want summer!! It has been so nice to be able to go outside with the kids this past week. I hate when the weather toys with my emotions like this.... cold warm cold, snow sun rain....just give me the warm summer SUN!!!

JJ as Turk (this is for all of you Scrubs fans)

So one of my favorite all time episodes of Scrubs is the airbanding episode. For those of you who don't watch Scrubs let me tell you a little about this episode. There are some guys that work in the hospital that want to start their own airband. They are holding rehearsals and Turk trys out for the lead singer. He mouths the words and dances to "Poison" by Bell Biv DeVoe. Well JJ watched this with us and started dancing like Turk. It is the cutest thing!! I wish I could find my vidoe camera.

Looking for a book to read??

I have read a couple of good books lately that are a pretty easy read if anyone is interested and looking for something to read.

The first book is Same Kind of Different As Me by Ron Hall & Denver Moore. This book kind of stared out a little slow, but if you hang in there it gets better and is well worth reading to the end! This book is a tear jerker. It has a wonderful message about giving, serving and being selfless.

The second book is Don't Sweat the Small Stuff...and it's All Small Stuff by Richard Carlson. This book has been around for EVER, but I have never taken the time to read it. It has some really good ideas about how to make your life more positive. It has helped me to focus more on others instead of myself. I think this is a book I will be refering back to in my life when I need to do a self evaluation.

If you read these I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

Happy Valentines Day

I am not much of a Valentine fan, but this year my cute husband sent me a beautifull boquet of roses!! Also I have a three year old that makes any holiday fun. In our family the Valentine Phantom comes and brings a little gift to the kids. JJ was at my mom's house today and the Valentine Phantom visited why he was there. The Valentine Phantom brought him Harold the Helicopter (if you have kids that are fans of Thomas the Train you will know who this is) Well Pappa (my dad) walked into the room...

Grandma "JJ tell pappa who came and brought you Harold the Helicopter"

JJ full of excitement replied "President Hinckley"

I guess our Valentine Phantom this year is President Hinckley :) I thought maybe I should rename him the Valentine Spirit.

Kids are so cute.

Schooling

I need advice. I know my son doesn't start Elementary for a couple of years and things can change alot in that time, but I need some oppinions on public and charter schools. I am just starting to do my research on where I want my kids to go to school. This is such a huge step for our little ones to go off to school, especially without their mommie right behind them telling them to be carefull :) Okay, so it is probably a bigger step for me and I am the one that will be having the emotional breakdown. I would love to hear anyone and everyone's comments.
