Catching Up

Happy Thanksgiving.

When Nicklaus dances he swivels his hips, so we call him Elvis. In this picture Nicklaus is dancing and happens to be holding an Elvis ornament. How Cute!!

We decided to start a new family tradition this year. The Monday before Thanksgiving we are going to spend family night putting up our Christmas tree & decorating the house. If you would have asked me to do this family tradition a few years ago I would have refused. I used to always get mad when people had their Christmas stuff up before Thanksgiving, and now I have turned into one of those people. It is just too much fun seeing your kids get excited about putting up the tree and decorating the house. Once again I am finding so much more joy in the Holiday's because of my kids.

Family Day

On Saturday I took the day off and Adam didn't have to work, so we had the funnest day with our little family. Adam got tickets to Disney on Ice from his work, so we took the boys. They loved it. As soon as the show started both their eyes lit up and they were so excited to see Mickey & Minnie Mouse :) They were both really good during the show. Towards the end Nicklaus got a little restless and JJ started to get tired, but it was a ton of fun. Then we had to go to Barber Brothers in Orem for Adam to check up on some work stuff. They had a bunch of fun things there for the kids to do. JJ got his face painted like Spiderman and Nicklaus got a spider painted on his cheek. They had a big blow up tent to jump in, so the kids had fun doing that. They had a little train to ride in around the parking lot and a magician. The kids had a blast. We were all very tired by the time we left to go home. It was so much fun to spend the day with my family. I can't remember the last time all four of us where together for an entire day. I loved it!!!!

Happy Halloween

I have found that Halloween gets more and more exciting the older my kids get. JJ was so excited to be Batman this year. Once he put on his costume he really thought he was Batman and would be off to find the Joker. When Nicklaus had on his costume JJ would not let us call him by his real name, we had to call him Robin. Even though Halloween is over JJ is still asking me when his next Halloween party will be. This is by far his favorite holiday. I hope everyone enjoyed their Halloween as much as we did.

Rock Band Live

I first have to say thanks to my brother who scored me tickets to this concert, I have the best brother in the world!! Last Thursday I took my husband to the Rock Band Live tour and it was by far the best concert I have ever been to!!!! The first band to perform was The Cab. They were okay but they need to learn to entertain the audience a little better, I am sure this will come with a little more experience. Then Plain White T's came on and where awesome. They performed "Hey There Deliah" which I was very pleased with. Next my VERY favorite Dashboard Confessional came on stage. I have the biggest crush on Chris Carrabba! He has the most amazing voice and is HOT. He knows how to entertain a crowd, he is hilarious!! Don't worry I still think my husband is the most amazing and good looking man alive :) Last Panic at the Disco came on stage to finish off the show. They were good, but for me nothing can compare to Dashboard. I am sorry for all of those who missed this spectacular event, maybe you can try to catch it next time.

Who am I sir.... UTAH Man Am I

JJ at the game

JJ & Adam posing for mom after the game

Last Saturday Adam took JJ to his first Utah football game. Adam was so excited to be able to take his son to a football game. They had so much fun eating hot dogs and bonding!! Adam said JJ would stand up and cheer every time Utah made a play. JJ was also excited because he got to ride tracks (the train) to Sandy where I picked them up. What a site that was. I was waiting for them to get off tracks when all of the sudden I see JJ walk off tracks with a huge red and white wig on. What a cute little Utah fan he was :)

Nicklaus Kneewalker

Who needs Luke Skywalker when you have Nicklaus Kneewalker?? Nicklaus is completely capable of walking on his feet, but he prefers to walk on his knees. If you put a ball in front of him and tell him to kick the ball, he will walk on his feet all around the room kicking the ball. If you take the ball away and tell him to walk across the room, he will drop down to his knees and walk across the room on his knees. I guess he thinks he will get around faster that way. Nicklaus is such a character. He just has a little mind of his own.

First Day of Pre-School

Yesterday was JJ's first day of school. He was so excited. When we pulled up he was out of the car before I even had a chance to turn it off. He ran all the way up to the door, straight past his teacher and down the stairs to his classroom. He was extra excited because Maya was in his class. I asked him what he did at school and he said played on the slides and played trains. He had so much fun!!

Happy 4th of July

So on the fourth of July my boys woke me up at about 7 o'clock. I decided since we were up, I would take them to see what a real parade is all about. I took them to my parent's house to watch the neighborhood parade :) It only lasted five or ten minutes, but it was so much fun for my kids. They came away with a sack full of candy. It was fun for me to sit back and reminisce about all the years I was in that parade. I decided next year I am going to do a float and put my kids in the parade. Here are some pics for all to enjoy!

Summer Concerts Part 2

Okay I officially have the best brother EVER!! To add to my summer concert series, Jamie got me tickets to Poison. First I have to admit that I have always had a huge crush on Bret Micheals!! Big hair eighties rock band, what is there not to like?? I also have to admit I was a viewer of Bret Michaels Rock of Love I & II. The concert was awsome!! The best part was Jamie snuk me onto the floor. I went from top row lower bowl seats to seventh row on the floor. I have never been this close at a concert before. It was so much fun. I felt like I was eighteen again singing and dancing along with Poison. I am sure I looked just like I was eighteen with my awsome dance skills :) Here are some pics of the concert. They are not the greatest, but what do you expect they were taken from my cell phone.

Summer Concerts Part 1

First I have to start out by saying I have the best brother EVER!!!! Jamie called me Wednesday night and asked me what I was doing on Friday night. I said, "just the usual, nothing." He then replied by asking "I have two Tim McGraw tickets do you want them?" OF COURSE I DID. Who in their right mind would not want to go and see Tim McGraw?? (Heidi) :) So Friday night we dropped our kids off with Heidi (thanks for saving me last minute) and went to meet up for dinner at Tepanyaki before the concert with my brother and some of his friends. After dinner we headed over to Usana Amphitheatre for the concert. It was so much fun. I have to say that Tim is pretty easy on the eyes!! I could have watched him sing all night long!! This Thursday I am going to the Poison concert. I will have to fill everyone in on that concert next week with my summer concerts part 2. Here are some pictures of Tim for everyone to enjoy. They are not quite the same as seeing him in person though.

Happy Birthday Nicklaus

Yesterday was Niclaus' first birthday!! I can't believe my baby is a year old. Times goes by so fast!! It has been so fun to see his little personality develope the older he gets. He is truly the Thurmanator of our family.
